The Women Rep said that the security personnel in the nation have been accused of propagating this vice during the 2017 General Election.

The call comes after Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNHCR) revealed that police committed 60 percent of crimes classified in the sexual offenses act.

She wondered how Kenyans can trust security officers if they are the ones being involved in criminal activities if the report if anything to go by.

"What say you? If our security forces were part of the criminal activities there is need to address the emotions that lead to attacking the citizens they vowed to protect," she said.

Passaris also questioned whether tribalism has taken over the forces in the nation following the release of the report.

"Has the evil tribalism penetrated the forces? Can the handshake alone restore order?" she quipped.

Her sentiments came just after Vihiga Woman Representative Beatrice Adagala pledged to pay dowry for men who are unable to settle down in a bid to reduce rates of sex offenses in the country.
