The executive expansion attempt which seeks to introduce the powerful Prime Ministerial slot has since received massive backing from national leaders, including members of the opposition and the Kenya African National Union (KANU), an ally of the ruling Jubilee government.

With the team already outnumbering the opposing side led by Deputy President William Ruto, the nation is likely to adopt the new setup soon, with President Uhuru Kenyatta likely to occupy the new royal slot.

Uhuru's silence on the ongoing talk in the political arena, linking him to the seat, is a demonstration that he could be interested but is waiting for the right time to make the big announcement, otherwise, he would have rubbished the claims already.

Also likely to assume the post is its former holder and opposition leader Raila Odinga, a long time presidential hopeful.

Odinga has since endorsed the proposal and unleashed his entire battalion of allies to push the agenda further and having held the big post before, he will be likely to go for it again and is not expected to go for a lower seat.

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has also joined the debate, throwing his weight behind the proposal, a common behavior among politicians eyeing something in an upcoming formation.

He is also likely to be allocated the slot in an event that the aging Odinga decides to leave the political arena.
