Police officers on Monday evening in Kisii County seized bhang worth Sh 5 million in Nyamataro area, Kisii County.
Kisii County police commander Hassan Abdi has confirmed the incident saying that police raided the home following a tip-off from the members of the public.
"Bhang business remains illegal. Kisii residents are urged to engage in legal businesses to avoid being at the wrong side of the law," he said.
Abdi said police officers arrested 2 suspects during the raid.
He assured that the suspects will be arraigned in court on Wednesday once police complete investigations.
"The two suspects who were nabbed during the raid with bhang will be arraigned in court anytime from Wednesday. Anyone who will be found engaging in dubious businesses will not be spared by the law," he added.
He lauded members of the public for their good cooperation with police to end illegal businesses.
Abdi stated that police will maintain a good working relationship with police so that the public can report those engaging in corruption and dubious business dealings not only in Kisii County but also across the country.
