EACC officer on Monday stage an abrupt operation in the area around City Stadium and arrested the cop No 75993. The cop is s traffic officer.

The officers from the EACC conducted a search on him and found Sh3,250 in various denominations in his pockets.

The officer the EACC officials said was also arrested on November 17, 2017 and charged at the Milimani Anti Corruption Court on November 29, 2017.

The case has not been concluded by the court. The EACC communicated the matter to the Deputy Inspector General of Police on November 2017 requesting the officer be interdicted over the bribery case as per Section 62(1) of the Anti Corruption and Economic Crimes Act, 2013.

Corporal Mburu, however, claims that the information on his alleged interdiction has never been relayed to him.
