President Uhuru Kenyatta. [Photo/the-star.co.ke]President Uhuru Kenyatta today ordered the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) to get out of the roads and allow traffic police to do the work of enforcing the traffic code. The order was a good one but not good enough.NTSA, in and of itself, is not the problem.Corruption on an industrial scale that continues to corrode law enforcement in the country is the bigger issue that the president ought to have confronted head-on.Images and footage of traffic police taking bribes from motorists have been widely shared on social media and elsewhere. The traffic police are not as innocent as the president's order implies. That is the problem with that order.
