Eldoret Kipchoge stadium will be ready for use in April 2018.Principal secretary in the  Ministry of Sports Kirimi Kaberia said all works are expected to early April."The state of art stadium will meet all the international standards and will be used for both international and local games. As I am talking the stadium is 70 percent complete," he said in Eldoret town after touring Kipchoge stadium, Saturday."All contractors have assured us that they will meet the April dateline without failure, a special team from the ministry of sports will also be camping here to ensure that the timelines we have agreed on are met and we won't tolerate any laxity," he added.The facility was set to host Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) but it did not happen since Kenya’s hosting rights were withdrawn. “We did not lose the hosting rights due to infrastructure but political instability in the country,” noted Kaberia.
