Multiple sources intimated to the Sunday Nation that the former Premier could be Kenya's special envoy to war torn countries, an assignment played by eminent persons across the world.

"There are plans to set an office for him in Addis Ababa where he will coordinate with African Union," reported the Sunday Nation.

During his first tour after signing the secret deal with Uhuru to Kisii, top government officials played a key role in Raila's tour, preparations which are similar to presidential visit.

Moments before landing, a police source said, a phone call from Nairobi caught top police commandants unaware with some rushing to accord Raila reception befitting presidential status.

"It was a directive and a number of police had to be deployed in all areas he visited. Unlike in the past, County Commandants were in-charge of his itinerary," said the source.

The routine handover was done when Raila entered Homa Bay County on his way o Kisumu as police panicked to realign themselves with the new changes.

While in Kisii, Raila's motorcade was under instruction from top police cops with his aides playing superficial roles.
