ODM leader Raila Odinga and his Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka are yet again embroiled in another battle, this time projected in Nyamira County succession battles.

With Governor John Nyagarama (ODM) serving his final term, the ODM party is embroiled in a tussle with Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo being the epicenter of the struggle.

Sources within the county government claim Nyaribo is keen to have allies perceived to associated with Borabu MP Ben Momanyi (Wiper) locked from lucrative county jobs.

One of such job is Count Secretary held by Erick Onchana, a close ally of Momanyi, who has been in and out of the court with his fate remaining largely unknown.

To perfect his scheme, Nyaribo is said to be backing acting County Secretary Thomas Nyariki for the post.

Understandably, Momanyi, a close ally of Musyoka, has already declared interest in the seat with Nyaribo also keen to capture it.

During Christamas, Nyagarama openly backed his deputy to replace him, a move that did not go down well with Momanyi, who backed the governor's reelection.
