Speaking during the opening of Wiper’s new offices in Karen, Nairobi, Kibwana said that ODM must back Wiper in 2022.

"We made a deal and Raila Odinga was to be a candidate in 2017 and would not seek the presidency again…ODM would not field a candidate in 2022 either. Mr. Musyoka is the candidate. They cannot breach this agreement," Prof. Kibwana said.

Wiper Party has maintained that Kalonzo will be on the ballot box when that time comes. The leaders of the political outfit have asked ODM, Ford Kenya and Amani National Congress (ANC) to unite and back Kalonzo as he seeks to ascend to power.

Raila and Kalonzo differed after the Ukambani political kingpin skipped the controversial swearing in ceremony of the opposition.

A section of NASA leaders accused him of being a coward. The two leaders’ relationship is reverting to normal after the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila. The two have promised to work together for the sake of uniting this nation. Kalonzo has also mended broken ties with Deputy President William Ruto.
