Raila Odinga's decision to postpone a planned swearing-in has been subjected to unprecedented criticism with Nyamira supporters now demanding for his retire.

A statement issued by NASA urged supporters to remain calm with Odinga's adviser Salim Lone insisting that the absence of Kalonzo Musyoka was the reason behind cancellation.

"We shall be announcing new dates for both the swearing-in and the launch of People's Assemblies as well as more vigorous and prolonged resistance," read the statement.

At Nyamira Politics WhatsApp Group, NASA hard liners accused Raila of holding them at ransom with some calling for his resignation.

"We have been patient enough and he keeps letting us down. Let him hang boots once for all," wrote Jacob Abere.

Edward Omwansa said: "As supporters, we can not hold for long. Let him just retire. He is taking us around cycles."

This is the second time Odinga is postponing the event which is a retaliation of President Uhuru Kenyatta's alleged rigging of August election.

But the NASA leader has been walking on a thin line with constitutional framework and pressure from international community not favouring his moves.
