Opposition Leader Raila Odinga's advisor Salim Lone has criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta for commending the police for the work they did during the election period. Uhuru through a signal signed by the director of operations at Kenya police headquarters Benson Kibui noted that officers deployed during the poll period discharged their duty “professionally” and “in accordance with the law.”He further lauded the police for being “firm” during the electioneering period.Lone has, however, termed the presidents congratulatory message as shameless following the killings of Kenyans that were reported to have been committed by the same police.Lone further noted that the praise on police shows that more people are going to be killed. "With this shameless praise of police killing unarmed civilians, Uhuru Kenyatta has ensured his place in the courtroom dock when these crimes against humanity are prosecuted. This praise is also a signal for more killings," Lone said in a Twitter post, Friday.
