Misori who has shown interest in vying for the Homa Bay gubernatorial seat in 2022, has given the governor three days to resign from the office citing ‘massive corruption’ in the County.

Misori claimed that an executive member appointed by Awiti has confirmed that there is massive corruption in the County government of Homa Bay.

“The people of Homa Bay should not expect any service delivery from Governor Awiti due to corruption. He should move with speed and vacate the office because members of the public will not just sit and watch as their money is being misappropriated,” Misori said in a statement.

Reacting to Misori's sentiments, governor Cyprian Awiti’s Political adviser Isaiah Alaka said that the county boss is going nowhere.

Speaking in Karachuonyo, Alaka said that they will not give any room to people who do not mean well for the residents of Homa Bay County.

He challenged the Executive Committee Member in charge of trade, cooperatives and investment Carelus Ademba to resign for making serious allegations against Governor Awiti.

Ademba recently claimed that the Homa Bay County government ‘has been held hostage by corruption’.
