[Photo|Facebook]Ndarugo residents in Juja sub-county have applauded the area MP Francis Munyua alias Wakapee after he helped them capture a stray crocodile that had become a menace in the area. The MP liaised with the Kenya Wildlife Service whom together with Juja security team was able to capture the crocodile before taking it to an unknown location.Area chief Muchui Komo said that the crocodile had become a source of fear to residents who could not go to their farms for fear of attack by the crocodile which was hard to identify in the rocky area."We do not know where the crocodile came from but we suspect it could have come from the nearby Ndarugo river which is not known to have crocodiles. The reptile looks pretty young and it might have strayed from its mother," Komo said on Monday.John Njoroge, a resident, feared that children could have found it hard to go to school if the beast continued wandering in the area scot-free."We are really grateful to our MP whom after we notified about the presence of a crocodile here, quickly coordinated with KWS and had the animal captured. Now we can go about our businesses without any fear of attack," Njoroge said.
