Bomariba ward electorates have protested the absence of area MCA Protus Moindi.
According to residents, Moindi has not stepped foot in the ward for the past 4 months.
The locals have threatened hold peaceful demos to the MCA’s office if the MCA will not appear in the ward by Friday this week.
“We are in the dark because Moindi has not visited the ward for the last 4 months. His office in the ward is always closed. We want to know what he has in store for the people of Bomariba or we force him to leave office before 2022,” said Sam Ongeri, a Boroko village resident.
Stella Nyareso said they are regretting electing a failure who has gone missing from the ward.
“Bomariba women messed up electing Moindi because he has not given any job slot to women from the ward. The MCA lied to us that he could give us financial support to start small businesses to boost our living standards,” she noted.
She called on the MCA’s representatives from each village in the ward to ensure the MCA initiates development projects across the ward.
Reached for a comment the MCA’s close ally Julius Onyuri said the MCA is planning to visit the ward starting May this year.
