The locals now want area MP Patrick Wainaina in collaboration with the county government to move with speed to fix the road to ease transportation saying the road has been rendered impassable by the ongoing heavy rains.

“Majengo road is in bad state and needs urgent fixing. Area MP should work closely with the county government to ensure the road is fixed because motorists have stopped using it. This has negatively affected traders transporting their products to the market,” said Erick Kamau, a resident.

Another resident identified as Charles Lumumba said they will be forced to protest if upgrade works on the road will not start by Monday next week.

“We have MCAs in Thika Town Sub-County and an MP who should help us to access good roads because we elected them to serve us.

"The leaders have until Monday next week to bring engineers to start working on the road failure to which we will protest to pile pressure on the lazy leaders,” said Lumumba.
