In the video, Pastor Paseka Motsoeneng, popularly known as Prophet Mboro, tells the congregants to remove their underwear, wave in the air and hold their private parts in order to attract Angels from heaven.

The church members did as asked by their pastor during the church service and the pastor was heard saying, “Must we stop because somebody does not like it?”

As the service went on, the pastor placed his hand firmly on his genitals while he was praying and the church members also imitated him and placed their hands on their genitals.

In 2016 the pastor claimed on Facebook that he went to hell and killed the devil adding that he saw some prominent South African politicians in hell but the devil panicked when he saw him and sent his army to kill him.

“When I got to hell, there was a queue of millions of people waiting to be braaied by Satan. I even saw some prominent South African politicians. I was so shocked because they lived like angels here on earth. I thought they went to heaven. When Satan saw me, he panicked and directed his army to kill me. Like Samson in the Bible, I defeated them. Satan was my last victim,” he said.

Here are some reactions from residents in Garissa County:

“These pastors are out for money. Why would a pastor tell you to remove your underwear and wave it? You must be crazy to even do what he asks,” said Mr Mohamed Abdi.

“The foolish things people accept to do in the name of religion surprises me. And you will see such church members protecting their pastors,” Ms Halima Ibrahim.

“Such pastors are clearly perverts who enjoys seeing women panties. They should be arrested and prosecuted,” said Ms Amina Sukre.

“All religious people are victims of brainwash to one extent or another, some people are unaware while others willfully participate,” Mr Abdirahman Noor said.
