[Photo/tuvuke.co.ke]Two legislators have expressed shock over what they call the misuse of a multi-billion dam.Adipo Akuome, MP for Karachuonyo, and Dr. Lilian Gogo, MP for Rangwe, warned that the purpose of the 6 billion shilling dam would not be met since the residents were using the water to wash clothes instead of irrigation.The Kimira Oluch Smallholder Farm Irrigation Project straddles Karachuonyo and Rangwe Constituencies.''We are very, very concerned that many residents are using the dam's water to wash their clothes and motorbikes instead of using it to irrigate crops.'' MP Akuome said.On her part, Dr. Gogo said she was drafting a plan to reduce the wastage of the water to ensure that it is being used for right purposes.
