Independence party KANU will roll out a series of political activities in the vote rich Rift Valley and opposition  strongholds as the race for 2022 takes shape.

While DP William Ruto enjoys massive support in the Rift Valley, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi is reportedly planning to unleash by popularizing his candidature in the region.

"Our main plan is to tour every part of Rift Valley and to tell people that Gideon Moi will be on ballot in 2022 so that the notion that only Ruto will run," he said.

A fort night ago, as part of the wider scheme to revamp the KANU party, opposition leader Raila Odinga visited retired president Daniel Moi in which succession politics were widely discussed.

"What I can assure you is that there is a plan to have Raila backing Gideon. That will happen soon," said Tiaty MP William Kamket.

While Raila's fate is still unknown, a source within Orange House says the veteran leader is keen to back the young Moi in 2022 as part of the plan to diffuse Ruto's influence.

In the plan, he says, Raila will in future host Moi in opposition strongholds where he will act as his anchor before 2022 polls.

"We shall see a series of joint campaigns at the opposition stronghold where Raila will guide Moi. He is determined to lock Ruto in 2022," he said.

Yet again, Raila is reportedly working closely with Jubilee and a section of KANU team to introduce parliamentary system, a plan which is said to have President Uhuru Kenyatta's blessings.
