The World Cup Season is here. Sports lovers are excited. Brazil, France, Belgium and Germany are among the teams to watch during this season. 

Before we embark on who will win the trophy, let us revisit the history of this competition. Do you know the player who has ever scored the most goals during this competition? 

Well, if the answer is no then you got nothing to be worried about because you have come to the right place. 

Born in 1978, Miroslav Klose went holds the record of the player who has ever scored the highest number of goals in any World Cup. The Germany player, who has since retired, managed to score 16 goals.  

He also played for the Italian club Lazio and the Germany International team. He is followed closely by Brazil’s Ronald who scored 15 goals during World Cup.  

Muller, another Germany, has scored 14 goals during the world cup. Here is the list of the top 6 players who scored the highest number of goals during World Cup competition.
