Education Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina Mohamed is a woman who needs no introduction in Kenya.
She has been in the public domain for many years.
It is recorded that Amina has served all the three Kenyan presidents since she entered the government.
It is without a doubt that she is one of the best female ministers Kenya has ever had.
Her appointment into the Foreign Affairs Department by President Uhuru Kenyatta and later as CS for education clearly shows that she is a woman of substance.
She has also assisted the nation to host high profile meetings including TICAD and UNCTAD.
During the reign of Former President Kibaki, Amina worked as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs.
Moi also did not ignore her education and great leadership after he appointed her as the Permanent Representative of Kenya to the United Nations Office at Geneva (Moi era).
However, this does not mean that Amina was born with a silver spoon.
It has taken hard work and determination to see her reach this point in life.
She has been forced to burn the midnight oil to ensure her dreams come true.
Unlike other women who give up in life, Amina believes all dreams are valid no matter where you come from.
