Accompanied by Governor James Ongwae and several leaders from Kisii and Nyamira Counties, Ruto had earlier castigated people engaging in corrupt deals.

"We don't have room for those who steal from the public. They all belong to jail and I am asking relevant authorities for speedy investigations," he said at Nyabururu.

He was referring to the scandals that have rocked National Youth Service department, NCPB and KPLC.

But according to Nyanchama, the DP encouraged her to expand her businesses by going for loans meant for women.

"He was impressed with the business and asked me to go for loans especially Women Enterprise Fund.

"Further, he said the government is keen to pump more money to the kitty to help women across the country," she added.

While Ruto gave her Sh5,000, governor James Ongwae and Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka gave Sh2,000 respectively.
