A Jubilee Party Senator has spoken on President Uhuru Kenyatta's incomplete Cabinet.

The President last week named nine Cabinet Secretaries, without giving a hint on when he will constitute his full team.

Isaac Mwaura, a JP nominated Senator, said the delay was caused by Uhuru's endeavour to ensure regional balance.

Mwaura said the Head of State was keen to appease his political allies at the same time deliver on his manifesto during his second and last term.

"The President has a very tough balancing task. Regional balance combined with a quest for competency is at the heart of the process," he said, speaking to The Standard on Wednesday.

The Senator asked politicians and religious leaders not to pile pressure on Uhuru but give him ample time to choose men and women who will help him deliver on his 'Big Four' agenda.

Some political observers have claimed that the President has failed to name the full Cabinet due to strained relations with his deputy, William Ruto.

The DP was absent during the naming of the first batch of CSs on Friday.

Ruto, however, has refuted the claims saying the Cabinet choice had not driven a wedge between them.

"No leader including myself has any right to supervise the President in making appointments to the Cabinet or in executing his duties," Ruto said on Tuesday during a burial in Meru County.
