A group of youths under the umbrella 'Rift Valley Youth Brigade' have slammed another youth group which on Friday declared their support for Baringo Senator Gideon Moi's 2022 Presidential ambitions.
The group dubbed 'Vijana na Gidy' believed to be University students said Moi has all the qualities to succeed President Kenyatta.
The declaration sent the social media into unending discussions.
But on Monday, the 'Youth Brigade' said the 'Vijana na Gidy' group was made up of university students who are not privy to the dynamics of politics.
"We ask our fellow young brothers and sisters to concentrate on studies and learn politics slowly," said Bob Kibichiy, a youth who had unsuccessfully vied for Ainabkoi Parliamentary seat in the August 8 poll.
According to the Youth Brigade, Deputy President William Ruto is the only Rift Valley kingpin. The DP, they reiterated, will take the baton from President Kenyatta in 2022, and "there are no discussions about it".
The youths further claimed that they have tried to identify the faces that purported to be Uasin Gishu youth but they have not recognized any.
"This is why we are concerned that some youth are being imported to come and create rifts. As the youth, we are only honoring the agreement; that William Ruto will be the presidential candidate," said Kibichiy.
