In an interview on Radio Citizen on Sunday, Ngunjiri maintained that Ruto's victory as President Uhuru Kenyatta's successor is inevitable, telling off possible competitors.

Ngunjiri banked on Ruto's development record, maintaining that his goodwill for the nation is unmatched, making him the best option for Kenyans.

"Ruto has maintained an excellent relationship with Kenyans than all the other leaders. He is the only leader who launches development projects every weekend. This will make him unbeatable in 2022," he said.

He accused a huge chunk of Kenyan politicians of, unlike Ruto, engaging in empty politics, saying that the same will dim the winning chances of such leaders who will run against the Deputy President.

"Most of the others are known to only show up and engage in empty talk during events, unlike the Vice President who is always involved in projects aimed at bettering Kenyans' lives," he added.

Ruto, who is banking on President Uhuru Kenyatta's backing in the poll has since vowed to proceed with the ruling Jubilee Party's development agenda should he realize the dream.

He is likely to vie on the Jubilee Party ticket but is yet to name his list potential running mates.
