According to deputy president William Ruto, this will help youths earn a living and live comfortable lives through using their talent.

"As Jubilee administration, we are determined to ensure that talents are nurtured right from the grassroots level through putting more funds in sports and constructing more fields for youths to conduct their training," said the deputy president during the Eldoret City Marathon, Sunday.

"We are improving the environment for budding athletes to showcase their talent and develop skills that will help win in international races," added the Jubilee deputy party leader.

He reiterated that construction of stadiums, supporting road races, marathons with prize money are platforms for training, body conditioning, motivation, producing world-dominating sportsmen and women and building successful careers in professional sports.

DP urged youths to use their talents instead of waiting for white collar jobs which are scarce.

He, however, applauded Uasin Gishu government with other sponsors for organizing the Eldoret City Marathon.

The DP said through such platforms untapped talents are identified and nurtured since they are exposed to the world.

He called upon other counties to follow suit by organizing such competitions aimed at more youths talents to be identified countrywide.
