Former FKF President Sam Nyamweya has reiterated that he has plans to revive the Kisii based football club Shabana.
Nyamweya on Wednesday morning during an interview at Royal Media’s citizen television said the management of the former football giants is poor.
“I have plans to ensure Shabana Fc performs well in the country’s politics. The club has good players but the management is poor. I am currently engaging stakeholders to help in giving support to the club to improve its performance,” he said.
According to Nyamweya, the Kisii based Club is capable to play at national leagues but the management is to blame.
“Gusii leader must also intervene to ensure the club is excelling in the country’s football. Kisii has got talents which must be nurtured right from the ground to the national levels,” he said.
He warned some businessman against taking advantage of the club which is struggling to bring back its glory.
Nyamweya challenged FKF leadership under Nick Mwendwa to ensure there is no discrimination in the country’s football teams playing at the national leagues.
