A school principal in Bonchari Kisii South sub-county has been accused of failing to ensure the school records good results in national exams.

Botoro secondary school principal Mr Peter Nyamoko has been asked to voluntarily ask for a transfer before parents evict him.

On Friday parents said Nyamoko is only interested in embezzling funds meant for development in the school but results in national exams.

“Nyamoko has been calling some parents to bribe them to be allowed to serve in the school. We have only given him until Monday to leave office or we will remove him by force,” said James Mogendi, a parent.

Fredrick Omweri said this year the school must perform better.

“Several students scored E in last year’s exams and the principal has not pinned the results on the notice board. We must reclaim our school, Nyamoko must go,” said Omweri.

Contacted for a comment, the principal denied the allegations saying he has never embezzled funds.

“Some parents who have been denied slots for their children to study in the school are the ones spreading propaganda. It is not only Botoro secondary that performed poor in last year’s KCSE exams,” he said.
