Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has joined the ODM and the opposition's NASA coalition fraternity in mourning Migori Senator Ben Oluoch Okello who passed on last night (Monday, June 18).
The ODM Deputy Party Leader said members have lost a key member of the party, saying his contribution to the development of Migori and the party will be missed.
"I convey my condolences to the people of Migori, his family, friends and the country at large. I wish the family God’s comfort during this difficult time. May the Almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace," said Joho.
Senator Okello who was a former Ramogi and KBC radio presenter, passed on at a Nairobi's MP Shah Hospital shortly past midnight after battle with throat cancer.
Popularly known as 'boo' among his radio fans during his time in radio, Okello has been in and out of hospital.
The late ODM lawmaker was recently treated and discharged from an Indian hospital.
