Popular Kalenjin comedian Kimutai Ruto of the famed Propesa comedy crew is now the proud owner of a Range Rover after winning a bet.
This is after Kimutai and SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri bet their cars on the Gor Mahia vs Hull City game which was played on Sunday, May 13th at Kasarani stadium, Nairobi.
The Sportpesa CEO was to win a Toyota Probox if Gor Mahia FC won the game and Kimutai was to win the state of the art Overfinch Range Rover if Hull City won.
During the Sunday match, the game ended in a barren draw at 90 minutes before Gor lost in a penalty shootout.
Even though SportPesa bets are normally 90 minutes, Karauri kept his part of the deal and handed over his Range Rover to Kimutai.
Propesa said they went to the SportPesa Headquarters with his team to pick the car keys from the CEO after they won the bet.
“Saa hii tuko hapa, Range ndio hio, picha ndio hio! Mafuta sasa ndio itakua shida. Lakini William akikubali kununua ni sawa. The official unveiling is later in the week,” said Propesa as quoted by sde.co.ke.
Kimutai had said he challenged Karauri who was supporting Gor Mahia to bet on his Range Rove since money was not an option for the CEO.
Gor Mahia defeated their long-term league rivals AFC Leopards 5-4 on penalty at Afraha Stadium to win the Hull City Challenge.
