In past few days, there were claims that went rounds on social media the CEO had bought himself Gulfstream jet after he had shared series of photos of the same.

The photos left many Kenyans talking in low tones, wondering how rich the betting company SportPesa CEO is.

A Gulfstream is owned by few billionaires of this world including Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich,  American President Donald Trump, media tycoon Oprah Winfrey and the Sultan of Brunei.

Sources show that a new Gulfstream G450 costs between Sh3.8 billion to Sh4.3 billion while a used one, for less than 10 years can cost between Sh1.5 billion and Sh2.5 billion.

After the ownership claims, Mr. Karauri told The Nairobian that the Gulfstream jet in question is not his property. However, he acknowledged the photos doing the rounds on social media were real, but the original images were edited and accompanied by suggestive captions which were not right.

“Some people have simply picked photos I took, while traveling, and added theirs to say I have a private jet,” explained Karauri as quoted by The Nairobian.

The SportPesa CEO, who owns six percent of the company (SportPesa) added that he is also a shareholder at Gulfstream Air.
