Education stakeholders on Tuesday held a forum to ensure higher number of transition from primary to secondary level.

This follows the low turnout in form one admission recorded in various schools across the County since the exercise began.

Some schools like Madago Secondary School registering only two form ones.

Lugo Tsuma the principal at Madago Secondary School blaming parents for not prioritizing education leading to the low turnout.

He said that his school has only 62 students.

Msambweni Sub-County education director Mohammed Simba said that some schools have recorded 70% turn out while others are at 5%.

“We are want to know the reasons why parents are not bringing students to schools although others feel that our schools are not good, we want to tell them that a school is a school” he said.

Msambweni deputy County commissioner Samwel Toet said they will bring on board all stakeholders including those from the county government to find a solution on the matter.
