There have been theories regarding the second coming of Jesus Christ with men and women of God interpreting his second coming in different ways. However, the scriptures say that no one knows when the son of God will come, but the same scriptures also note that his coming is not far away.

The scriptures further warn believers that false prophets and prophetes will emerge with news of his (Jesus) second coming. In the recent years, men and women of God have predicted the second coming of Christ asking their believers to get ready. However,  the predicted days have come and gone with no sign of the son of God returning.

As scriptures state, no one knows the exact day and time of his coming, but believers are told to always be ready. As the world eagerly waits for Jesus' second coming, a church in Kawangware, Nairobi seems to have experienced his (Jesus) return.

Jerusalem Church under the leadership of prophetess Mary Akasta experienced Jesus return in 1988. It is believed that Jesus the son of God visited the Jerusalem church that is located in Kawangware's '46' area.

In June 1988, 'Jesus' was allegedly spotted at the church and witnessed by over 6,000 worshippers. As reported by the then Kenya Times Newspaper, the 'Jesus' appeared at the Jerusalem church and stood next to prophetess Akasta.

The 'Jesus' was six feet and five inches tall, barefoot, bearded and dressed in white robe and his head covered with a turban. According to the Kenya Times, prophetess Akasta had prophesized that Jesus would visit the church.

The crowd went wild, shouting Jesus of Nazareth as they danced and repented their sins upon seeing Jesus.

According to the Kenya Times, the Jesus who talked in low tone promised worshippers that he would return and bring blessings. The Jesus then vanished into the clouds as the worshippers jubilantly sang and danced.

In a series of interviews later, it emerged that the person who appeared at the church was not Jesus but looked like him. It is said that the man resembling the son of God was an Asian teacher who had visited the church.

The news of Jesus visiting the church spread like a bushfire, attracting many followers.

Mary Akatsa is known for her tough teachings and is a no non-sense preacher who sometimes beats worshippers who fail or refuse to adhere to the Gods teachings.
