Nairobi governor has said that he will not stop serving city residents even after the unexpected resignation of his deputy Polycarp Igathe last week.

Speaking at Mombasa's Pride Inn Hotel at a workshop by Nairobi MCAs Sectoral Committee on Water and Sanitation, the governor said his next course of action will see him work closely with professionals to ensure that the pledges they made to Nairobians are met.

He said that he was surrounded by academicians and experts who would offer their services to better the city.

“I have professors with me and other elected leaders around. I have also been a senator, a Member of Parliament and God is there. Work will continue," he said.

"We will serve our people and ensure they get what we promised them,” he added.
