The National Assembly Majority Leader said Raila, who has been in the race to State House four times, will again be 'embarassed', this time by Deputy President William Ruto.

"We welcome ODM to the 2022 contest, where Raila will be humiliated by Ruto," he said speaking to the press in Nairobi on Monday.

Duale further warned the former Prime Minister against repeatedly claiming that his poll victory in 2017 was stolen by Jubilee, noting that that was against the spirit of reconciliation following his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta on March 9.

"But we shall say loud and clear to ODM and Raila that you cannot talk of uniting the people and you still carry the notion that Jubilee did not win the election," he stated.

The legislator insisted that the ruling party won the last poll fair and square and urged the opposition to focus on the next general election.

"That decision was made by Kenyans, who in their majority, elected President Uhuru and gave majority in Parliament, and county governments," he said.

Duale was reacting to remarks by the ODM leader who over the weekend, while in London, claimed that President Uhuru has never defeated him in an election, adding the only free and fair poll since multi-party democracy in Kenya was the one that was held in 2002.
