The MP said that the gang of six who were armed with crude weapons, jumped over the fence at around 4.00 am before breaking into the house through the rear door.

“I got information from my home guard that the thugs were noticed by the house help who heard them ransacking the bedroom before she alerted the police from the nearby Bar-Ogong’o Administration Police camp. They took off with valuables including a laptop,” Atandi who was in Nairobi at the time of the incident was quoted by Kisumu based Dala FM.

The legislator noted that this is now the third time thugs have broken into his rural home, and made away with valuables.

“In the first and second instances, they broke into the house and stole electronic gadgets including one laptop, television sets, other electronic appliances and clothes,” said the first time MP.

He has given the police a one week ultimatum to ensure the  culprits are apprehended, insisting that there is no way thieves can break into an MPs house on three different instances without action being taken.
