When the Lord said that it will be easier for a camel to go through the hole of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven, was he cursing wealth?

In other words, is wealth a sin before the good Lord?

Well, as we debate that, here is a list of the top five richest pastors in the country.

1. Prophet David Owuor

Funnily, the man of God does not encourage people to give money to him nor to his bishops. So where does he get the money?

Owuor rides a Sh 25 million Mercedes s500. He also moves in a large entourage of other expensive metals. Regardless of the theory one comes up with over the source of the money, Owuor is rich.

2. Rev Kathy Kiuna and Bishop Allan Kiuna

They lead a flashy lifestyle, that they cannot deny.

The couple always posts photos on social media showing them in luxurious environments.

With a home in Karen and a private plane on the way, the family needs respect.

3 Rev Teresia Wairimu

She is the owner of the billions-worth sanctuary in Karen that was opened by President Uhuru Kenyatta alongside Reverend Reinhard Bonnke.

The reverend also owns the Faith Evangelistic Ministries Family Church to which many Nairobians subscribe.

4. Bishop Margaret Wanjiru

She is the proprietor of the Jesus is Alive Ministries which make one of Nairobi’s biggest churches.

Wanjiru once served as MP for Starehe after being elected on an ODM ticket but later switched allegience to Jubilee with which she failed to retain her seat.

5. Ndugu Kamlesh Pattni

Every Kenyan knows Brother Kamlesh Pattni.

Although his history is dented by the Goldenberg scandal that saw Kenya lose millions of shillings, Pattni is said to have later seen the light and he now serves the good Lord after converting from Hinduism to Christianity.

Ndugu Pattni owns a chain of airport duty-free shops together with other investments of substance in Mombasa, Nairobi and in the Maasai Mara National Park.
