Traders operating at Nyakoe market in Kitutu Chache South, Kisii County now want the county government to put up toilets for traders.

The traders said that they pay taxes on daily basis but the county was doing nothing to upgrade the market.

"The Governor promised to build toilets and upgrade the market during the campaign period but we are yet to see it here," said Chris Moikoyo, a trader.

Mr Boniface Onchera also a trader said that they will not pay taxes until the market gets a facelift.

"Our leaders have totally ignored us and we shall not go o paying taxes yet we get affected," he said.

Mr Onchera also said that the drainage system in the market had been bloked.

That according to him was a threat to their health.
