Raila Odinga's planned inauguration may after all be a pipe dream, says an ODM insider privy to ongoing wrangles within the NASA coalition.

To get hold of Raila's ambitious plans to cause civil disobedience, President Uhuru Kenyatta is said to have reached a section of NASA leaders in person to drop the swearing-in idea.

"Some principals seems to have been in talks with Uhuru and they are now against the swearing in plans," the source said in confidence.

For the better part of this week, Raila, Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi are said to have met without reaching an agreement.

But according to local media, three NASA principals have strongly adopted the US proposed approach of dialogue which is reportedly backed by Uhuru.

"The US seems to have brainwashed them and Raila now remains an isolated man. After all he may now have to embrace dialogue with Uhuru."

Ambassador Robert Godec, a close associate of Uhuru, has been piling pressure on Raila to abandon swearing-in plans.

With Raila's inauguration hanging in balance, Uhuru however, may also face a challenge in accommodating the opposition in his government .
