The governor stated that the President has been moving at a slow pace to have the corrupt officers in his government punished as by the rule of law.

"Uhuru has condoned corruption in his government. The officers serving in his government are engaging in corruption because no one is punishing them.

"It is time the Head of State should intervene and ensure all corrupt officers especially those stealing NYS money are sacked, arrested and prosecuted in a court of law,” he noted.

Mutua said corruption will derail Uhuru’s development plans thus no legacy he will leave behind.

“We should not cheat one another that Uhuru can leave a legacy behind with the high levels of corruption.

"For him to leave a legacy let him fight corruption first in his government and use the funds to launch and initiate various projects in this country,” he said.

He said EACC should be accorded the necessary support by the Jubilee government to investigate and prosecute corrupt leaders and other civil servants.
