Former Karachuonyo MP James Rege is continuing to suffer in the political cold even as his hopes of landing a top position in President Uhuru Kenyatta's government continue diminishing.

On Tuesday, the President made new appointments for various government positions but Rege's name was once again conspicuously missing.

President Kenyatta has in the past few weeks been making appointments to government and all the luctrative position have already been handed out.

Most residents of the Nyanza region expected the Head of State to appointment the former MP to a senior position in government.

Last year, Rege sacrificed his political ambitions to campaign for Uhuru in NASA leader Raila Odinga's political turf, a move that was seen as politically suicidal.

Of all the Luo Nyanza politicians who rebelled against ODM, only former Kisumu Central MP Ken Obura made it to the government.

Going forward, Rege, may be forced to wait longer even as things continue to turn from bad to worse.
