He said some transfers were unfair and only meant to demoralize teachers.
“It is sad that TSC has been transferring teachers without involving us yet we are the ones on the ground and we are the ones fighting for the rights of teachers. Unions must be involved before any transfer is affected,” he said in Eldoret town, Friday.
“We are aware that it is the mandate of TSC to effect transfers but there are several instances where teachers were moved unfairly.
He also urged TSC to consult with Union leaders before hiring teachers since they know which schools need teachers.
“They should seek consultations since while recruiting teachers some schools get more teachers yet others don’t get even a single one leading to poor performance. Consultations are paramount,” noted Boor.
