In the much-hyped game, El Tri's PSV winger Hirving Lozano scored a stunner after a sensational run by Javier Hernandez to score the only goal during the tense game.

And Moraa, in Borabu Politics WhatsApp group lamented her ordeal, accusing her boyfriend of misleading her.

"I was misled by my boyfriend to bank on Germany. He told me that they are favourites and that Mexico has never beaten them lately.

"He advised me to place for Germany's victory with all my school fees. In return, he told me that the odds of 2.78 would fetch me a good amount. He has since gone hiding," lamented the girl.

But angry users descended on the lady, questioning her ignorance with some calling for banning of gambling.

"You should be ashamed yourself for reporting such issues. You went to school to study and not to gamble. You should keep your frustration to yourself," said Ann Nyaboke.

Another user, Kevin Mochama said: "Gambling should now be banned. It is giving parents unnecessary burden."

In subsequent posts, the lady vowed to hunt down his boyfriend whom he termed as 'liar'.
