West Mugirango MP Vincent Mogaka is the latest Wetangula lieutenant to come to the defense of his party boss even as he pleads with the former Prime Minister to prevail upon Siaya Senator James Orengo not to take over the Senate Minority position.

" As Ford Kenya party, we are seriously considering our union with ODM. We saw this coming when Raila went to Uhuru Park to be sworn in without involving other players," said the Ford Kenya MP as quoted by the Standard.

The lawmaker's statement comes at a time when Raila is expected to host all NASA senators today ( Thursday ) in an effort to save the embattled Bungoma senator with a view to reinstating him to his Minority leader position. Should the ODM leader's effort succeed, then the building tension within the alliance will be contained even as the coalition battles for survival.
