Celebrated Swahili news anchor Rashid Abdalla has joined other Kenyans in congratulating former Citizen TV news anchor Kanze Dena after her maiden State House briefing.
Rashid, who is married to Dena’s former co-host Lulu Hassan, said that he was impressed by her press briefing following her appointment as first female Deputy State House Spokesperson by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He also said that Kanze deserves commendation for the good work she has started doing after landing the new deal.
“#sisemikitu Umevika taji thamani ya bidii, uvumilivu, subra na ucha Mungu. Umevika taji thamani ya lugha teule ya Kiswahili. Nami sikuviki taji la ukoka ninapokupa hongera kwa kuthamini asili na jasho lako. Asante umeipa heshima @kanze_dena nami nakuzimia sigara,” Rashid said.
Several leaders have sent their messages to Dena for the good work she started. Led by President Uhuru, the leaders have said that she is the best.
“Great inaugural briefing this morning by my new deputy spokesperson,” Uhuru said after the briefing. The appointment of Kanze was lauded from different factions. Dena represents the face of the youth in Uhuru’s team. She enjoyed a stellar career at the Royal Media Service before she left. Her eloquence and master of language are among the things that saw her appointed in the new position.
