The former legislator's political silence is now worrying his supporters.

A critic of governor Mike Sonko, Kenneth has remained silent on Sonko's performance that has been widely criticised.

Kenneth who hails from Mt Kenya region was seen as former governor Kidero's perfect replacement at City Hall.

He, however, lost in the Jubilee Party nomination that Sonko easily won to fly the party ticket.

According to Political analyst Peter Ngure, Kenneth silence is politically calculated.

He observes that Kenneth is waiting for the right time when he will make a come-back.

"It will be wrong to rule out Peter Kenneth in the 2022 succession politics because he will be among the key people whose presence will matter a lot," he said in an interview on Sunday.

Ngure added that Kenneth is likely to resurface this time Governor Mike Sonko is under sharp scrutiny over his performance.

He said that the former Gatanga MP could be the biggest beneficiary if an alleged plot to impeach governor Sonko sails through.

The analyst adds that Kenneth will be bidding for the Nairobi governor seat in 2022.

The former Gatanga lawmaker is also among key Mt Kenya politician's who are being groomed to deputize Deputy President William Ruto in 2022, according to sources.Where is Peter Kenneth?
