After Nairobi governor Mike Sonko published a list of people he hopes to replace his former deputy Polycarp Igathe, Nairobians have been asking the whereabouts of the former second boss at City Hall.

Although Igathe has maintained a good relationship with Sonko even after resigning, he has kept a low profile with regard to media coverage.

The last time the two were seen together was on March 2 where Igathe had gone to meet his old boss at his (Sonko's) residence following a short illness.

In the video shared on social media, Igathe is a happy man laughing with Sonko and they are seen to exchange a hearty bye as the governor sees him off.

There was speculation that the former deputy governor was working on his return to the Nairobi government but after Sonko revealed the shortlist, it is not known where Igathe is and where he wants to move next.

The duo earned the trust of Nairobians in the last general election, with most of their support coming from the poor especially in segmented slum areas like Kibera.
