Since the inception of gambling to our society, there has been reported high and low moments. The only reported news is of high moments whereby individuals have scooped jackpots and mega jackpots.

The many individuals who lose their hard earned money usually go unreported. My deep worry is this; a few individuals win this lottery and jackpots, the many individuals who lose stay poor and harbor within themselves feeling of remorse and pain as a result of subsequent loosing.

Gambling is a game of chance, no known individual in this world can scoop a jackpot more than twice.

Show me one! Responsible gaming is what I advocate for, but responsible gaming usually applies to the few who have undergone the pain of losing all their money, sold their assets as well as excessive loan borrowings to quench the thirst of gambling.

Operant conditioning is a term that scientist and many of gambling industry owners benefit from. This kind of conditioning has a way of completely ruining an individual who is addicted to gambling.

With little rewards as an individual plays and excessive loses makes them unable to quit since there is that glimpse of hope to hold on to, that one day I may win immensely, which never comes to fruition.

Gambling is a lucrative business as the majority of individuals are jobless and this serves as the only source of income. Also, it is hard to quit since we were brought up in a society that we were taught, 'never to give up!'

My dearest gambling addicts, just run while it is too early if you cannot control yourself with addiction associated to gambling.

I am shocked at times as individuals swear to quit when they are cashless, only to resume playing when they have money which they eventually lose and if they win there is nothing to account for that money since it is a terrible circle of disaster.

If only it was reported, a lot of suicides have been committed by individuals due to losses, family breakages due to misuse of family funds, theft has been on the rise due to desire to reclaim lost money or  to get money for survival, excessive school dropouts and poor performances due to the time and concentration it takes to gamble.

Our society, with all stakeholders involved, he family, government, and individuals should come up with a measure to encourage society to see the importance of hard work and refrain from easy ways to get money.

More so, the government should come up with a regulation to ban gambling use via phones and Internet and limit them to casinos and buildings whereby individuals who go there go at their own wish.

As for me am seeing a time bomb in which our society will perish soon.
