Moi University School of Law has been put on spot over failure to administer examinations to students.

The students, who are more than 100, threatened to seek a court order to stop the graduation ceremony set for Friday, December 22.

They accuse the institution of failing to offer special or supplementary tests to the affected students thus denying them a chance to graduate with other comrades.

"We are privately sponsored and we have paid a lot of money in school fees and now we are not in the graduation list," a student who sought anonymity told Sunday Nation.

According to them, the University has not acted upon their concerns since they raised the matter in October.

"We have been told that the lecturers are on strike and no one can conduct invigilation or marking of our papers," another student told the local daily.

The university's administration, however, denied they have ignored the students, saying the long electioneering period and the recent lecturers' strike has adversely affected the academic calendar.

"The examinations has been rescheduled and will be administered before the end of the year," said Alfred Wandera, the institution's public relations officer.
