A man was on Saturday evening given a proper beating by the wife to an extend of losing consciousness for spending all his salary at a local pub.
Mr Joe Ongeri, who lives in Fort Jesus Estate Kisii, used Sh 10,000 in buying drinks for his friends and some 'chips fungas' and by the time he was leaving he had used all teh money.
Mr Ongeri who resides at Fort Jesus estate, Kisii Central ward, spend all his income, Sh.10000, in a Kisii based alcohol joint buying drinks for his friends and other ladies in the name of 'chafua meza.'
When the wife received the news, she armed herself with a colking stick and left for the pub.
It is reported thats he mercilessly gave her lover a beating before dragging him home.
On reaching the house a drank Ongeri tried to fight back and teh wife landed on him with kicks and blows.
"How dare you spend all the money on liquor yet you know know we have no food here?" Doris asked his wife as he disciplined him.
Doris was doing all this as her kids mercilessly watched.
If it was not the efforts of neighbors, Mr Ongeri as we talk should have been lying dead at Kisii mortuary and not at a ward in Christa Marriane hospital.
The wife is on the run and the area chief is pleading with anyone who knows the where abouts of the husband batterer to report to the nearest police station.
