Among services offered via Huduma Kwanza include single business permit, construction permit, outdoor advertising, medical and public health services, fire and rescue services and general enquiries.

On Thursday, February 28, Trade Tourism and Investment Executive Fawz Rashid together with Chief Officer Abdulwahab Mbarak spent the better part of the day sensitising Sub-county Administration and media stakeholders on the modalities of how the system works.

He said "the much awaited system that will enable 'wananchi' to receive feedback on their queries on business or government services through mobile phone or internet is ready for use."

Some of the business to government features which are on the feedback system include general enquiries, departments of Trade, Tourism and Investment, Lands, Housing and Planning, Public Health and Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works.

Besides the Sub-county Administration, the Trade Tourism and Investment Department is also planning sensitisation clinics at the grassroots where residents will be able to visit and be sensitised on how the system works.

The system was developed by the County Government in collaboration with the World Bank Group.

The County Government of Mombasa also intends to further expand the services in phase two to accommodate additional services in the remaining departments.
